Prices in US dollars. Checkout stays in private testing until launch; nothing on this site charges you today. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled on the billing rail used at sign-up, and cancelling returns your Mac to Free Home & Couch Mode. Commercial use of Tailscale may require Tailscale’s own paid plan. See the Terms of Service, End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy.

How billing, trials and quotas work

  • 14-day Away-From-Desk free trial. When checkout opens, paid plans include a 14-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Cancel before the trial ends and you are charged nothing.
  • Hard-stopped relay quotas ($0 surprise overage). Afar Solo includes 20 GB a month and Afar Pro Fleet includes 60 GB a month of managed relay traffic. If you reach 100% of your allowance, managed relay streams pause cleanly until your next billing cycle or until you add an optional Relay Pack +50 GB ($9 on the web). Local home Wi-Fi and your own Tailscale keep working at all times.
  • Cancel on the rail you used. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Web subscriptions cancel in one click through the Stripe billing portal; iPhone and iPad subscriptions cancel in Apple ID Subscription Settings; Android subscriptions cancel in Google Play. Cancelling never locks you out of your Mac—your account returns to Free Home & Couch Mode at the end of the current period.
  • Personal computers you are authorized to control. Afar connects to your own Mac desktop, terminal and workspace files. Review the Terms of Service, End User License Agreement, Privacy Policy and Security Policy, or write to hello@fromafar.app with questions.
